The simplified elegant modernism of the ‘PegLeg’ flat-pack tables utilises Beech timber from renewable sources.

Wanting to provide the simplest and most practical possible solution, Tomek Archer has created a table with ingenuity in the detailing and delight in the uncomplicated assembly.

The crucial detail is the way the leg attaches to the solid timber table top, without the use of any screws, glues or tools. Each leg consists of two solid timber elements, which are held together with a timber peg, clamping the top in place.

The contemporary solid timber vernacular aesthetic is achieved through the use of modern CNC manufacturing processes.

Using solid timber allows the potential for a long life of use, renovation or reuse through generations, and is an alternative to cheap disposable products.

‘PegLeg’ addresses the increasing demand for sustainable solutions by governments, manufacturers and consumers alike, and provides a product that is both practical and sensitive.
