The Packaged Glow light was inspired by the packaging of products. Using high-density packaging foam, a lamp form is cutout and supplies the negative structure to house a light source. The cutout internal becomes an accompanying sculptural form. The power cord presses into a recess where the foam tension keeps it in place, creating a white highlight of the light form.
The main lamp is a 2.3W LED globe, which generates the same light as a 20W incandescent bulb. The lamp gives an incredible 30,000 hours of life and if used for 3 hours a day would last approximately 25 years.
