From automotive clay modeller to furniture designer, Corey Baker has developed a critical eye for style and structure. His fluid ‘Lofoten Lounger’ uses ecologically sustainable Bamboo, complemented by intertwined stainless steel features.

Baker was inspired to design a contemporary lounger that was not only functional, but had a personality – the result is a striking sculptural piece with a relaxed elegance. Perfect for any tropical or poolside environment, the ‘Lofoten Lounger’ creates an architecturally inspired outdoor piece.

The laminated counter-tension supports create the curvaceous, fanning form, ensuring optimal comfort and vital ergonomic support. Refinement of these structural details highlight the flowing and harmonious lines of the materials used and its overall form.

The Bamboo selected for the design is both environmentally sustainable and renewable, with the stainless steel structural details being 100% recyclable.
