Henry Pilcher is letting cardboard do the talking, with the ‘Knuckle.’ Testing the limits of recycled cardboard, the stool combines structural, sculptural design with environmentally sustainable materials.

Only weighing 2kg, the material forms the structure – its thickness, shape and size are all the direct result of the nature of cardboard.

The ‘Knuckle’ seating surface is divided into two halves, the same way your lower body is. The sculptural form supporting the active surface reacts like your two fists when they are brought together, then both move and depend on each other as your weight transfers from one cheek to the other.

The organic, textural design re-uses recycled cardboard sourced from local cardboard skips.

Great for a café, commercial or residential consumers, ‘Knuckle’ is a sustainable furniture design, which is sure to have people talking cardboard.
