The dynamic ‘ATTA’ coffee table came from Nicholas Cairns’ strong focus on graphic 2D shapes – transforming and exploring into a 3D object.

Aiming for a simple yet strong design, the feature piece uses laminated Australian Hoop pine, black epoxy resin coating and toughened glass. The materials were chosen to incorporate sustainable design, with plantation Hoop Pine ply being chosen, with water-based resin.

An industrial designer from Melbourne, Nicholas Cairns combines CAD and CNC technology with craftsmanship to create his objects, focussing on line and shape.

The ‘ATTA’ coffee table promotes high-end, quality Australian design with its minimal striking form and slick combination of wood and glass.
