The ‘Bent Bottle Opener’ is a product that opens beer bottles with the same level of functionality as a spanner tightening bolts. No more need for the unceremonious teeth, elbows and table edges when longing for a beverage.

Through a long process of sculpturally balancing a form/function relationship, Joel Nobel has created a sleek, slimline, funky tool made from Aerospace grade stainless steel.

At rest on a bartop, the bottle opener leans up off the table to meet the hand. Once picked up, the bottle opener is placed over the bottle top and levered upwards.

The slim slot can be used to hang the bottle opener, but is also intended to be a frame around the colour of the bottle cap. The ‘Bent Bottle Opener’ works equally on pop-top and screw top bottles using the same lever action.

The refinement and detail of the design are combined with its longevity – the lifespan of the luxury product is intended to be so long as to pass down to future generations.
